BLADENBORO – Junior Maya McDonald tied her own school record of 7 goals that she set 9 days ago, and East Bladen completed an undefeated season with a 9-0 Three Rivers Conference girls soccer victory over West Bladen on the Lady Knights Senior Night.

McDonald’s double ‘Hat Trick’ plus one matches her total in a 9-0 East victory over West Columbus on April 19th. The 7 goals tied McDonald again for the 13th most in NCHSAA history for a single game.

Senior Katie Evans fired in a goal and dished out 3 assists for the Lady Eagles, and sophomore teammate Acee Campbell knocked in a goal and was credited with an assist.

The Lady Eagles outshot West Bladen 15-1 in the opening half and 27-3 for the game. Senior Lily Lin recorded her 8th shutout in goal for East Bladen.

Lady Knight seniors who were honored on Senior Night were Tinyauh Rhoda and Ocean Woody.

Coach Jay Raynor’s Lady Eagles completed their regular season as the Three Rivers Conference champions and sported a 6-0 league record and a 12-0 overall mark. They will now wait for the NCHSAA girls soccer pairings to be released to see where they are seeded.

West Bladen’s Lady Knights completed their season with a 2-4 league record and 4-7-1 overall mark.
