BLADENBORO – South Columbus scored on the 13th kicker of the shootout to defeat West Bladen Wednesday night in Three Rivers Conference girls soccer action.
The 2 teams batted to a 1-1 tie in regulation play then remained tied through 2 overtime periods, before the Lady Stallions broke through in the shootout. Hannah Hester fired in the goal in regulation for West Bladen.
“That was a long exhausting game,” said Lady Knight Coach Kristen Parker. “Alyssa (Smith) had a great game in goal for us.”
West Bladen will travel to West Columbus Monday at 5 p.m.
