BLADENBORO – Senior Hannah Hester lit up the scoreboard with a ‘Hat Trick’ of 3 goals Tuesday night to lead West Bladen to a 6-1 Southeastern Athletic Conference girls soccer victory over St. Pauls.

Hester knocked in 3 of her 4 shots on goal. For the game the Lady Knights converted 6 of their 21 shots on goal. West Bladen built a 2-0 halftime lead then pulled away in the 2nd half.

West Bladen sophomore Brookee Singletary fired in a goal and dished out an assist. Juniors Kaden Thurman and Makayla Wright drilled in 1 goal each.

Junior Eva Ayala-Martinez was credited with 2 assists for the winners, and sophomore teammate Eliana Padilla also had an assist. Sophomore Briana Carranza Toledo came up with 5 saves in goal for the Lady Knights.

“The win definitely feels good, “ said West Bladen Coach Kristen Parker. “Everyone saw significant time on the field allowing our younger players to get more experience under their belts and getting more comfortable in matches. I am extremely proud of all of them.”

The Lady Knights improved to 3-2 in SAC-7 play and 4-2 overall. West Bladen will travel to St. Pauls Friday for a 6 p.m. rematch.
