East Bladen’s boys’ golf team placed second Monday in the weekly Waccamaw 1A/2A Conference match played at Vineyard Golf at White Lake.
The Eagles shot a team score 371 to finish behind South Columbus, which shot 356. Whiteville took third place with 390.
Conner Smith led East Bladen with an 88, which included his first eagle when he chipped in from 75 yard on No. 13. Other East Bladen scores were: Dayton Wilson, personal-best 89; Dylan Register, personal-best 93; Henry Simmons 101; Hunter Simmons 104.
SFGA Tournament at Timberlake
The Southeastern Fellowship Golf Association played a two-net score tournament Tuesday at Timberlake Golf Course in Clinton with 32 members participating.
Next Tuesday’s tournament is scheduled at Land ‘O Lakes Golf Club in Whiteville.
