FAIRMONT – The fourth Southeastern Athletic Conference golf match of the season was played Monday at Fairmont Golf Course and the winners were the same as the first three weeks, but East Bladen captured second place ahead of Clinton and West Bladen in the team results.

Midway’s Raiders finished with a 310 total to win the team competition. East Bladen posted a 354 total that was three shots better than Clinton’s 357. The Dark Horses edged out West Bladen (359) for 3rd place. Other team results were Fairmont (386) and Red Springs (389).

The Raiders’ Logan Atkins once again took medalist honors with a 72. Atkins’ teammate, Kaison Marley, carded a 75 to finish second. Clinton’s Finn Howard was third with a 76.

East Bladen’s Caleb Scruggins placed fifth with an 81 and teammate Bailey Williams tied for eight with Fairmont’s Jacob Jacobs. Both shot 86. West Bladen’s Colin Britt and Daniel Gustafson shared 10th place with 88s.

Other East Bladen scores were: Conner Smith (92), Chase Knight (95) and Tony Todd (124). Other West Bladen scores included: Trenton Meares (91), Isaac Mendoza (92), and Nolan Sessoms (99).

The next SAC-7 match is slated for Monday at Scothurst Golf Course.
