LUMBER BRIDGE – Midway’s Raiders won their 5th Southeastern Athletic Conference golf match of the season Monday posting a 315 total at Scothurst Golf Course. West Bladen’s Colin Britt fired an 83, and teammate Isaac Mendoza carded an 84 to spark the Knights to a 347 and a 2nd place finish.
Clinton recorded a 356 total to take 3rd place, and Fairmont was 4th with a 386 just 2 shots ahead of East Bladen’s 388. Red Springs did not have 4 players finish and did not qualify.
The Raiders’ Logan Atkins once again took medalist honors with a 73, and Clinton’s Finn Howard was 2nd with a 78. Britt and East Bladen’s Bailey Williams tied for 7th place with 83s. Mendoza’s 84 tied for 9th place.
Other West Bladen results were: Daniel Gustafson (90), Trenton Meares (90) and Nolan Sessoms (97). Other East Bladen results were: Chase Knight (97), Caleb Scruggins (104), Conner Smith (104) and Tony Todd (110).
Monday’s next SAC-7 match will be played at Whiteville’s Land O’Lakes Golf Course.
