The Southeastern Fellowship Golf Association played a two-net score tournament Tuesday at Pinecrest Country Club in Lumberton with 32 players participating.
Next Tuesday’s tournament is scheduled at Land ‘O Lakes Golf Course in Whiteville.
Tuesday’s winners were:
1st Place — 127 — Steve Hancock, Paul Stanley, Bill Rudin, Alick Mansfield
2nd Place — 129 — Rudy Pait, Wilton Wiggins, Joe Canady, Ray Crabtree
3rd Place — 131 — Jimmy Litton, George Cochrane, David Medlin, Ken Shaw
4th Place — 132 — Stacy Owen, Stan Matthews, Charles Hungerford, Terry Blackburn
Pinehurst Resort Unveils Plans For Course No. 11
Pinehurst Resort announced plans to build Course No. 11 at its Sandmines site in Aberdeen, The Southern Pines Pilot reported. It’s the resorts second full-scale course in two years.
Designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, the course will contrast with Tom Doak’s
No. 10. The project taps into the site’s mining history and natural ridges, aiming for a 2027 debut.
