Former East Bladen football coach Bob Lewis was inducted into the North Carolina High School Hall of Fame Saturday in Cary at the Embassy Suites.

During his professional career, Lewis coached the high school teams of Clinton, East Bladen, Harrells Christian, Pender, and Whiteville. Lewis not only had an impressive coaching record with 322-146-6, but has state championships under his belt. He won the state championship with East Bladen during 1973 and with Clinton High school during 1990, 1996, 1997 and, 2001.

 

One of East Bladen High School’s current coaches, Patty Evers was present for the awards ceremony. Former East Bladen baseball coach Jimmy Baldwin and Rick Hester were also in attendance for the special occasion.
