A Hallsboro Middle School student who was involved in a serious motor vehicle crash on November 17th, 2017 is still recovering from her injuries. She is preparing to return home after completing therapy in Charlotte on January 25th and her family needs to construct a ramp, along with paying for medical and other expenses incurred during her hospital stay.

Halie Keel, who is 13 years old, along with her sister Chloe, were involved in a serious motor vehicle crash in November 17, 2017. According to a GoFundMe page set up for her family, Keel received severe head injuries and Chloe suffered a broken knee as a result of the crash.

Students at Halie’s school have been participating in school spirit related events to show their support of Halie as she recovers from her injuries. They have conducted a fundraiser by selling Pray for Halie bracelets with the proceeds going to the Keel family, according to the school’s website.

According to the GoFundMe page, the goal is to help raise $10,000 for the ramp construction. To make a donation, go to https://www.gofundme.com/pray-for-halie.
