Local 15-year-old Cade Hancock from Elizabethtown failed to qualify Tuesday for the USGA Junior National Tournament. Hancock, playing a 36-hole qualifying round at Santee National Golf Course in Santee Cooper, S.C., shot a first round of 78 and withdrew when it was deemed that he was too far down to be able to qualify.
Hancock is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hancock of Elizabethtown and a student at Harrell’s Christian Academy.
