Harrells Christian Academy senior Dawson Smith on Wednesday signed his letter of intent to play baseball at Lenoir Community College.
Smith is a three-time all-conference player and had a .393 batting average in his most recent summer showcase season. He is batting .386 through 14 games this season for the Crusaders.
Smith was surrounded by family, friends, teammates, coaches and teachers as he made his commitment during a ceremony at Harrells Christian.
