LRHS_Harrison_8x10posterHarrison Freeman who just completed his senior season at Raleigh Leesville Road High has been selected as one of 15 semi-finalists for the Chris Rubio Award that goes to the top high school Long Snapper in the country.

Freeman, the son of Tony and Anne Marie Freeman, has Bladen County roots. Tony Freeman played football and baseball at Bladenboro High School and graduated in 1980. Harrison’s grandfather is Grady Freeman of Bladenboro.

Freeman was named to the 2015 Carolina Gridiron Preseason North Carolina All-Gridiron Team as a Long Snapper.

During the 2015 season, Freeman was successful on snaps for 58 of 59 punts, and was successful on all 49 field goal and conversion attempts. The 6-4, 230-pound senior also made 6 tackles including 2 solo tackles.

Freeman is currently ranked 17th nationally by Chris Rubio Long-snapping in the Class of 2016 with a 4.5 stars rating.  Harrison has been rated as high as fourth nationally.

For his 2014 junior season, Freeman made successful snaps on 53 of 53 punts plus 38 field goals and point-after-touchdown conversions. The Leesville Road varsity named Harrison the Special Teams Player of the Year for 2014 that was voted on by the team.

Freeman was selected to the Event Elite by Rubio Long-snapping in both 2014 & 2015, for Top Long-snappers in U.S. camps  held in Los Angeles. He was also selected for the Football University 2015 Top Gun Camp that was held in Dublin, Ohio.
