With five runs in the first three innings, HCA left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

A wild pitch and a two-run error in the first inning and a sacrifice fly by Michael Smith during the second inning supplied the early offense for HCA.
Luke Quinn racked up two RBIs on two hits for HCA. He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the sixth inning.

Smith held Fayetteville Christian School scoreless for six innings. Smith allowed three hits, no walks and struck out eight.

W Shroeder couldn’t get it done on the rubber for Fayetteville Christian School, taking a loss. He allowed eight runs in six innings, walked four and struck out five.

HCA added three more runs in the bottom of the sixth. The inning looked promising, as Quinn doubled, plating Evan Hardison and Spencer Cooke to kick things off. That was followed up by Nathan Casteen’s single, scoring Quinn.
