Bladen County will be hot this weekend. According to the National Weather Service latest weekend briefing high temperatures in the low 90s will combine with high humidity to produce heat index values 100-104 Saturday afternoon.
“Thunderstorms along a stalled cold front Sunday may produce isolated flooding,” said Josh Weiss, Meteorologist, in the briefing.
Also mentioned in the report, isolated severe wind gusts possible with any storms this weekend.
The summary said hot and humid conditions continue on Saturday. Heat index values will rise as high as 104 degrees during the afternoon and evening. Isolated severe thunderstorms possible Saturday and Sunday, mainly during the afternoons. Heavy rainfall and localized flooding is possible within thunderstorms on Sunday.
