Honeywell Programmable Wifi Thermostat
I finally got time to install my WiFi thermostat today. It went smoothly and took about 30 minutes. Hopefully there will be a hook into Apple’s homekit for Honeywell’s controller. As I mentioned in an earlier article, devices like thermostats are part of the huge wave of home control devices and the “internet of everything” movement.
There are a few models of the WiFi thermostat and I bought the $99 model. The iPhone app icon is shown on the left. The install program will ultimately lead you to download the app and login. You will be able to control your system and well as program changes to temperatures during each day. If you are handy, you can install it yourself. If not call an electrician or your HVAC contractor.’
