Lower Cape Fear Hospice recently received three national marketing awards for its You Matter to Our Physicians commercial and videos.

The commercial received a Merit Award at the 32nd Annual Healthcare Advertising Awards presented by Healthcare Marketing Report, the national newspaper of healthcare marketing. The competition had more than 3,700 entries this year. Entries were reviewed by a national panel of judges based on creativity, quality, message effectiveness, consumer appeal, graphic design and overall impact.

The commercial and videos won two Gold 2015 Aster Awards in the Home Health/Hospice group. The Aster Awards are sponsored by Marketing Healthcare Today Magazine & Creative Images, Inc. Aster Award entries are judged by a diverse panel of industry experts. Winners must exemplify excellence and score in the top tiers amongst similar-sized organizations.

“We’re excited to have won these national awards recognizing our physicians’ commercial and videos. We enjoyed working with Jennings and Flying Frog Media throughout the production process,” Stacey Manning, LCFH public relations and communications manager, said. “Nothing in the 30-second commercial or two-minute video was scripted. Bruce Wlach from Jennings asked each physician a series of questions while Flying Frog shot the videos and took photos. What you see are their real answers. The day of shooting was an emotional experience while our physicians talked about caring for hospice patients and their families. Many times there wasn’t a dry eye in the room.”

The commercial and video were submitted for awards by Jennings, a healthcare marketing firm. The firm worked on the project with LCFH’s communications team: Kimberly Paul, vice president of communication and outreach; Manning; Kim Emory, graphic designer; and Sally Shepherd, executive assistant.

Jennings is a North Carolina-based healthcare marketing and audience engagement agency that has won several national awards. Flying Frog Media is its video production partner for Physicians in Focus and Patients in Focus projects, and is a motion and photography firm based in Raleigh.
