Green wreathes, gold balls, red bows and Christmas trees were just a few of the many items that could be found Thursday during Cape Fear Valley-Bladen Healthcare’s Auxiliary Christmas sale.

Director of Volunteers Sharon Meismer said that the proceeds from the sale will go towards such things as purchasing items like wheel chairs that the hospital may need.

Meismer was joined on a beautiful afternoon by Volunteer Kaye Dennis for the Christmas sale.

Meismer said the Auxiliary also raised $800 selling raffle tickets for a gift basket for a fundraiser. Wallace Brisson won the gift basket which was filled with enough food for 12 people, a $25 gift card for a turkey and a bow.

A Jewelry and Handbag Sale is also planned for Wednesday, Nov. 30, from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. and Thursday, December 1 from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. in the hospital’s solarium.
