Warm and humid weather will continue through the weekend with isolated to scattered showers or thunderstorms through Sunday. Showers and thunderstorms will become more widespread late Sunday into Memorial Day. The risk for flooding will increase late in the holiday weekend. Rip current risk is moderate along the Cape Fear coast today but will most likely extend down along portions of the South Carolina coast later this weekend. Increasing southerly winds will push seas up late in the holiday weekend.
