Here is a humorous golf comment courtesy of Vineyard Golf at White Lake:

Golf is not a particularly natural game. Like sword-swallowing, it has to be learned.

Here is an interesting golf comment courtesy of Vineyard Golf at White Lake:

“Why do we love the game of golf? It is a sport that combines the best that nature and man have to offer. Golf offers opportunities for relaxation, companionship, and accomplishment. It’s rules are almost always self-enforced, making it a game of character and sportsmanship. The challenge of competition is present on every shot because the golfer competes not only with others, but also with himself. Who can deny the joy of a well-hit drive or the satisfaction of sinking a testy putt? Golf also meets our need for heroes. One generation reveres Jones and Hagen, the next Palmer and Nicklaus. The mantle is passed to Watson, Norman, Ballesteros and Price, while rising stars wait impatiently in the wings. Champions change, but the greatness of golf endures.”
