Hurricane Dorian First Responders rest in Bladen County

Hurricane Dorian left Bladen County on Friday morning without causing a lot of damages. There were several strike teams strategically placed throughout Bladen County to help with rescues during the storm, according to Bladen County Emergency Services Director, Nathan Dowless.

The Bladen County First Responders’ Training Facility housed some of the first responders.

“We had Davie County, Burke County, and Buncombe County Swift Water Rescue Teams staying at our facility,” Sgt. Gary Turlington said.
