Hurricane Michael is forecast to make landfall along the Florida panhandle this week and make its way northward into the Carolinas by Thursday into Friday. The National Weather Service Office is forecasting southeastern North Carolina will receive between 2 to 4 inches of rainfall, tropical storm force wind gusts and a slight possibility of severe thunderstorms. There is also a slight risk for tropical storm force wind gusts which could topple trees already weakened by Hurricane Florence, according to the National Weather Service.
