The Bladen County Board of Commissioners will meet as scheduled on Monday, December 5, at 6:30 p.m. in the Commissioners meeting room in the basement of the Bladen County Courthouse. However, the election of the Chairman and Vice-Chairman and the swearing in of newly elected commissioners will not take place, according to Bladen County Manager Greg Martin.
An email from Clerk to the Board Maria Edwards, reads “November 8 election results have not yet been certified by the Board of Elections. Until this process is completed, new members of the Board of County Commissioners will not be installed, and outgoing board members will remain in office and retain authority until new members take office.
Due to the information stated above, installation and a reception for the Commissioners-Elect will not take place on December 5 and will be rescheduled for a later date. “
