The Bladen County Law Enforcement Officers Association has scheduled an Introduction to AR-15 class Saturday, March 18 at the Bladen County Emergency Services Training Center.

The class will give students the skills and confidence to safely operate an AR-15. It will involve classroom hands-on instruction and live fire on the range.

The training center, which used to be a prison located between Elizabethtown and White Lake, is located at 5853 U.S. 701 North, Elizabethtown. The class will be from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.

• Safe handling of the AR-15
• Function and controls of operation
• Loading / Unloading
• Disassembly and Reassembly
• Cleaning and Maintenance

• How to Zero the AR-15
• Live fire exercise with the AR-15

Items required:
• Eye/Ear protection
• AR-15 Rifle
• 2 Magazines
• 50 Rounds of brass cased ammunition
• Comfortable Clothing
