Tunity – Free
If you have ever wanted to listen to a big game while in a sports bar or restaurant? Or maybe you want to watch TV in bed without disturbing others. You might even need a different audio level than someone else.
Tunity has 60 channels of broadcast audio available which covers most popular networks like CBS, ABC, NBC, Fox, CNN etc. One network not covered I see this morning is The Weather Channel.
It will ask you to point your phone or tablet at the TV playing so that the app can scan the picture and find the best audio feed. It works very quickly!!
Most of the time there seems to be a slight delay of 300-500 milliseconds. There are controls at the bottom of the screen to stop the audio, mute audio, and to fine tune the audio delay. To catch the audio up with the picture, tap the first right arrow button “>>” a couple of times (not the one with 3 arrows “>>>”).
It is very likely that the commercials will not match. Try to make sure you are on Wifi so that you do not use your data. You may experience more latency with a weak cell signal.
iPhone 7
The release of the new 7 phone and iOS10 are just a few days away. The OS will be available almost immediately ( I can’t keep up with the OS9 versions). New phones generally go on sale near the end of the month.
Speaking of downloads. I spend time cleaning up my phone to get a gig of space and then Apple shoves their update on my phone and I’m back to no space again. I think they need to change that to make sure you have 500mb to 1 gig of space left after they auto download the update. Some people just don’t care how they cramp up your space.
