It’s Lab Week! 🧪
A huge shoutout to our incredible lab team here at the Bladen County Health Department — the real-life heroes working behind the scenes to crack the case on every test, swab, and sample.
Thanks for keeping our community safe, one diagnosis at a time!

The Health Department is focused upon the protection of your health through services such as prenatal care, immunizations, restaurant sanitation inspections, rabies prevention, and emergency preparedness and response activities. Our primary goal is to reduce and prevent the occurrence of chronic diseases in our citizens.  We would love to tell you how you can protect yourself through adopting a healthy lifestyle.

The Department of Social Services is here for you when you need a helping hand. Our friendly staff work daily with our state and federal partners to protect and assist needy families and children. Through using a wide range of programs, we strive to put Bladen County families on a path to self-sufficiency.

The Division on Aging helps older adults to maintain as much independence as possible by providing meals, some light housekeeping, senior activities, and help with finding other services. BARTS is Bladen’s own community transportation system, serving human services clients as well as other citizens with transportation to a variety of destinations.

We have a lot to offer. We invite you to learn more about Bladen County Health and Human Services by clicking on the tabs located on the left side of your screen. You can also receive updates and announcements by “liking” our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/bladenHHS).

Remember… whether you’re six or sixty years old, better living starts here!
