Three Things to KnowGreetings! 3 things to know for Wednesday, January 28

1. Happy Data Privacy Day! Today’s the day set aside to raise awareness and promote privacy and data protection best practices. It was first recognized in 2007 in Europe. It’s certainly a worthwhile cause in today’s Internet-connected society. Wish there more information to pass along about the celebration, but the data couldn’t be accessed. Try staysafeonline.org. Stay safe.

2. The Diabetes Support Group meeting is set for Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at the Bladen County Health Department in Elizabethtown. The topic is “12 Lessons of Diabetes.” It’s open to the public. Call 910-862-6900, ext 5 for information.

3. Sign held by a guy outside of ESPN’s radio studio in Phoenix, Arizona, on Tuesday: “Sorry I’m late. Belichick let the air out of my tires!” You may want to try that as an excuse next time. Just may work.
