Good morning! 3 things to know for Tuesday, January 6

1. The North Carolina Resources Commission will hold the first of several public hearings across the state tonight at Bladen Community College. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. Among the items to be discussed is the use of hunting dogs on portions of the Bladen Lakes State Forest Game Land.

2. It was 14 years ago today that George W. Bush was declared the winner of the 2000 Presidential election over Al Gore more then five weeks after the election due to the disputed Florida ballots. My, how times flies when you’re having political fun.

3. Former N.C. State football coach Lou Holtz turns 78 today. Holtz spent only four seasons with the Wolfpack. He had a 33-12-3 record in Raleigh from 1972-75. Of course, most folks know him now as a college football analyst with ESPN.

And now you know.
