BELMONT – Bladenboro native John Bowen tossed in 11 points Wednesday night, but it wasn’t enough as his Belmont Abbey Crusaders dropped a 111-98 Conference Carolinas decision to Barton College.
Bowen also grabbed 4 rebounds and blocked 3 shots against Barton. The sophmore forward is currently averaging 8 points, 5 rebounds and 1.6 blocked shots per game.
The Crusaders own a 10-3 league record and 11-6 overall mark. Belmont Abbey will travel to Mt. Olive Saturday for a 7 p.m. game.
