On Saturday, Oct. 28th, Jones Lake State Park will be the destination for a fall festival from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.  There will be plenty to see and do as there will be hay rides, games, cake walks, face painting, crafters, and more.

There will also be a halloween costume contest beginning at noon. Jones Lake State Park Superintendent Shane Freeman said there will be four age groups for the contest.  The age groups are: 0 to 3 years old; 4 to 6 years old; 7 to 9 years old; and 10 to 12 years old. The winners of the costume contest will be announced at 1:30 p.m.

There will also be animal exhibits and much more.

Freeman said tickets will be sold for game participation at 50 cents each or you can purchase wristbands that allow for unlimited participation in all games (excluding the cakewalk) and events for $5 each.

There will be candy prize bags for the winners and every child will receive a goody prize bag upon departure from the park.

Food and drinks will also be available for purchase.
