Juanita Askew faced Judge Ashely Gore in Bladen County Superior Court today after she was arrested by Bladen County Sheriff’s Office yesterday, July 16, for child abduction.
Askew is facing 59 months in jail according to Judge Gore for a Class E felony charge for child abduction. Judge Gore appointed attorney Michael Levine as Askew’s lawyer and kept Askew’s bond at $500,000.
The next court date for Askew for the child abduction charges will be July 31, 2019.
