The much appreciated rains came Thursday to Vineyard Golf At White Lake, but left in time for the regular weekly Thundering Herd nine hole tournament to be played.
The winning team, shooting a nine-under par, was Luke Gooden, Michael Pastore, Will Fisher, Scott Gordon and Zac Campbell. The nine-under was the lowest score of the season.
The Thundering Herd is played every Thursday at Vineyard Golf. The entry fee is $18 for members and $20 for guest. Anyone interested in playing should call the pro shop at 910-247-6132 by 5:30 p.m.
