Here are events scheduled for June at Land O Lakes Golf Club located at 2950 Bill Hooks Road in Whiteville.
Friday, June 2: Whiteville TD Club tournament, 11 a.m. shotgun start
Friday, June 16: Nine and Dine tournament, 5 p.m. shotgun start.
It’s a 9-hole, four-player Captain’s Choice event followed by dinner afterwards in the clubhouse. Cost is $40 per twosome. Players can sign up in the golf shop or call 910-642-5757. (READ MORE)
Saturday, June 17: Parent/Child tournament: 1 p.m. start.
Celebrate Father’s Day with a little golf. Team can consist of one adult and one child, grandchild, stepchild, etc. Format will be 2 player modified alternate shot. Each player will play a tee shot with the team picking the best one and alternating shots from that point forward until holed.
• 7 and under (Play 4 Holes Modified Tees)
• 8-13 (Play 9 Holes from Red Tees)
• 14+ (Play 9 Holes from White Tees)
• Seniors 65+ may play Gold Tees
• All Females may play Red Tees
• Fee is $25 per team/9 Holes

• Entry includes cart, prizes, and hotdog lunch.
Saturday, June 24-Sunday, June 25: Member/Member tournament
Saturday, 10 a.m. shotgun start, Best Ball format
Sunday, 1 p.m. shotgun start, Texas Scramble format
Team must consist of 2 members. They need not play the same tees to play together. Each player will receive 80% of their handicap on Saturday and 50% on Sunday. Players will play white tees, 65+ gold tees, and 72+ red tees unless they are single digit handicap then they must play Gold Tees. Food will be served before and after play each day.
Cost: $80 per player. There will be an optional cash buy-in for the net portion of $100 per team. Deadline to sign up is Wednesday June 21 at 5 p.m.
