ELIZABETHTOWN – East Bladen racked up 21 runs in just two innings Friday en route to a 21-1 Three Rivers Conference jayvee baseball mercy-rule victory over St. Pauls.

Tyler Hill rapped a one-out single to centerfield in the first inning, and Dylan Fine knocked him in with a double. Freshman Raymond Autry drilled a double to rightfield that scored Dylan Fine. Freshman Drew Sholar reached base on a fielder’s choice.

Sophmore Jacob Priest reached base on an error. Freshman Nazire Smith lined a single to center that scored Autry, and Priest also scored on the play. Brandon Fine’s fielder’s choice plated Sholar. Mahki Cromartie smacked a single to right that scored Smith, and Jay McKoy laced a single to centerfield that scored Cromartie for a 7-0 East Bladen lead.

Breedon doubled home a run for St. Pauls in the top of the second, but the Eagles answered with a 14-run explosion. Dylan Fine, Autry, Priest, Sholar and Brandon Fine drew walks to start the home second. Dylan Fine dashed home on a passed ball, and Autry was forced home when Brandon Fine walked.

Cromartie ripped a single to left that scored Priest and Sholar. Jay McKoy walked, and Hill was hit by a pitch to force home Brandon Fine. Dylan Fine lifted a sacrifice fly to centerfield that scored Cromartie. Autry laced a single to centerfield that plated Jay McKoy and Hill.

Priest was hit by a pitch, and Sholar walked. Smith cleaned the bases with a double that scored Autry, Priest and Sholar. Greyson Clark and Cromartie drew walks. Ahmad Powell smashed a single that scored Smith, Clark and Cromartie.

Autry batted 2-2 with a double, 3 runs batted in and 3 runs scored. Cromartie finished 2-2 at the plate with 3 rbi’s and 3 runs scored. Smith batted 2-3 with a double, 5 rbi’s and 2 runs scored. Dylan Fine doubled, scored 2 runs and drove in 2 runs.

Hill, Powell and Jay McKoy added one hit each. Powell drove in 3 runs, Brandon Fine drove in two, and Jay McKoy and Hill had one rbi each. Hill scored 2 runs, and Jay McKoy, Clark and Brandon Fine scored one run each.

Priest pitched the first 2 innings for the Eagles and allowed a run on 2 hits and a walk while striking out one. Sholar struck out the side in the third inning but did allow one hit.

East Bladen JV 7, South Columbus 0

Jacob Priest and Mahki Cromartie combined to pitch a shutout Monday in a 7-0 East Bladen jayvee victory over South Columbus. Priest pitched 4 innings and gave up 3 hits and 3 walks while striking out three. Cromartie finished up with a hitless inning.

Raymond Autry batted 2-3 with 2 runs scored, and Jay McKoy was 2-4 with a run scored to lead the Eagles. Rasean McKoy drove in 2 runs with a single, and Dylan Fine singled, scored twice and drove in a run. Priest knocked in a run with a double, and Greyson Clark and Drew Sholar scored runs.
