Red Springs scored 10 runs in the first two innings to defeat visiting East Bladen 11-3 Wednesday afternoon in non-conference jayvee baseball action.

Holden Clark and Eric Chancy drew walks to begin the Eagle second inning. Both runners moved up on Davis Alsup’s sacrifice. Scott Howell’s infield out scored Clark with the first East Bladen run.

Shy Pone slammed a double to drive in Chancy, and Greyson Heustess knocked in Pone with a single.

Pone finished 2-3 at the plate with a run batted in and a run scored. Heustess had the other Eagle hit.

The Eagles jayvees are now 1-1 and will travel to South Robeson Friday for a 4 p.m. game.
