ROSE HILL – West Bladen and Union battled to a 4-4 tie in Four County Conference jayvee baseball action Wednesday. Knight Coach Todd Pait said that Union’s Athletic Director decided not to play extra innings.
Freshman Tyre Boykin blasted a triple and an inside-the-park home run to lead the West Bladen hitters. Sophmores David Valenta and Thomas West both belted 2 hits in 3 at-bats, and freshman Colby White cracked 2 hits in his 4 trips to the plate.
Sophmores Dalton Pait and Jeremy Pait connected for one hit each for the Knights. West Bladen is now 3-5-1 in league play and 7-7-1 overall.
