DUBLIN – West Columbus raced to a 20-3 first quarter lead and defeated West Bladen 58-41 Wednesday night in Three Rivers Conference jayvee boys basketball action.
 
Khalil Lloyd fired in a 3-point shot for the only Knight basket in the opening quarter. Guard Da’shawn Hines attacked the basket for two field goals and 3 free throws in the second period. 
 
Teammate Jadecus Register tossed in 2 baskets, and Kendall Johnson powered in a bucket to keep West Bladen within 29-16 at halftime.
 
Hines threw in 2 more baskets in the third quarter, and Johnson netted 3 free throws. Register sank a basket and a free throw, and Tyrese Retmar dropped in a basket to keep the Knights within 44-28 at the quarter break.
 
Register drained a 3-point shot, another basket and a free throw in the final quarter, and Johnson muscled in 2 baskets and a free throw. Hines hit 2 more free throws.
 
Hines and Register shared scoring honors for the Knights with 13 points each. Johnson totaled 10 points.
 
West Bladen will host St. Pauls Friday at 4:30.
