East Bladen High SchoolFAYETTEVILLE – Cape Fear closed the game with a 20-9 run to claim a 41-29 non-conference jayvee boys basketball victory over East Bladen Wednesday night.

The Eagles started slowly as Anthony Wooten drained a 3-point shot for the only East Bladen basket in the first period.

In the second period freshman Majuan McKoy tossed in a basket and 2 free throws, and freshman Jordan Robinson threw in a pair of baskets. Keshaun Davis added another Eagle basket before halftime.

Sophmore Greyson Heustess nailed a 3-point shot in the third quarter, and Davis, Robinson and Majuan McKoy added baskets to keep the Eagles within 21-20.

Wooten, Heustess and Pierce Melvin dropped in baskets in the fourth quarter for East Bladen.

Robinson and Majuan McKoy led the Eagles with 6 points each. Heustess and Wooten followed with 5 points each, and Davis finished with 4 points.

The Eagles, now 4-2, will host Clinton Friday night.
