ELIZABETHTOWN – Lefrederick Wooten tossed in 9 points Tuesday night to lead East Bladen to a 27-20 Three Rivers Conference jayvee boys victory over South Columbus.

Tayshaun Berkeley and Corey McKoy pumped in a basket and a free throw each as the Eagles built a 7-5 first quarter lead.

Rasean McKoy bombed in a 3-point shot, and Berkeley and Wooten threw in a basket each as the Eagles stretched their lead to 14-8 at halftime.

Wooten netted a basket and 2 free throws, and Charles Dixon made a trio of foul shots as East Bladen opened up a 23-12 lead at the third quarter break. Wooten added a basket and a foul shot in the final period.

Berkely finished with 5 points, and Corey McKoy followed with 4 points.

Coach Aking Elting’s Eagles evened their record at 1-1 with the victory and will travel to Red Springs Friday.
