ROWLAND – Sophmores Zach Meares and Jacob Priest combined for 22 points Tuesday night to lead East Bladen to a 36-26 Three Rivers Conference jayvee boys basketball victory over South Robeson.

Meares nailed four 3-point shots and led the Eagles with 12 points. Priest tossed in a trio of baskets in the first quarter and finished with 10 points. Ahmad Powell drilled in a pair of 3-point shots to finish with 6 points. Teammates Charles Brown and Mahki Cromartie added 4 points each.

Coach Aking Elting’s Eagles will travel to West Bladen Friday night.
