ELIZABETHTOWN – East Bladen raced to a 20-2 first half lead en route to a 40-18 Three Rivers Conference jayvee boys basketball victory over West Bladen Friday night.

Center Rasean McKoy dropped in 3 baskets in the first quarter, and sophmore Zach Meares nailed a long 3-point shot and a lay-up as the Eagles raced to a 12-0 first quarter lead.

Charles Brown tossed in a pair of baskets in the second period, and McKoy added a basket and 2 free throws as the lead grew to 20-2 at halftime. Josh Lewis netted the Knight basket.

Jacob Priest pumped in a pair of baskets, and Brown sank a basket and 2 free throws as the Eagle lead stretched to 29-11 at the quarter break.

Damion McKenzie popped in a pair of baskets for West in the third period, and Jadacus Register added a basket and a free throw.

Priest drained a 3-point shot and another basket in the fourth quarter, and Makhi Cromartie, Wes Hodge and Kari Price popped in one basket each for the Eagles.

Donovan Stone connected for 2 baskets for the Knights in the final period. Lewis delivered a basket, and Javonta Matthews canned 2 free throws.

McKoy led the Eagles with 11 points, and Priest and Brown followed with 9 points each. Meares totaled 5 points.

McKenzie, Lewis, and Stone scored 4 points each to lead the Knights.

East Bladen travels to Whiteville Tuesday night, while the Knights will host Fairmont.
