LAKE WACCAMAW – Corey McKoy sparked a 20-11 first quarter run that propelled East Bladen to a 41-30 Three Rivers Conference jayvee boys basketball victory over East Columbus Friday night.
McKoy fired in a trio of 3-point shots and 2 free throws in the opening quarter. Teammate Juwan Baldwin nailed a 3-point shot and another basket, and Tayshaun Berkeley pumped in a pair of baskets.
Lefrederick Wooten tossed in a second-quarter basket, and Allen Owens sank 2 free throws to keep East Bladen up 24-18 at halftime.
Corey McKoy drained his fourth 3-point shot of the game and added 2 more baskets in the third quarter. Baldwin and Wooten netted baskets as the Eagle lead grew to 35-25.
Kasey Price threw in a basket and a free throw in the final quarter for the Eagles, Charles Brown dropped in a basket, and Jaquez McKoy hit a free throw.
Corey McKoy led the East Bladen scoring with 18 points. Baldwin followed with 7 points.
East Bladen will host South Robeson Tuesday night.
