ELIZABETHTOWN – Charles Brown fired in 16 points Tuesday as East Bladen rolled to a 52-24 Three Rivers Conference jayvee boys victory over South Robeson.

Sophmore Zach Meares nailed a 3-point shot and 2 free throws in the opening period as the Eagles took a 7-6 lead.

Brown threw in 3 baskets, Rasean McKoy dropped in 2 baskets, and Meares bombed in another 3-pointer during an 18-2 second quarter Eagle blitz that opened up a 25-8 halftime lead.

McKoy and Brown netted 2 free throws each in the third quarter, and Jacob Priest pumped in a basket to keep East on top 31-17 at the quarter break.

Brown pumped in a trio of baskets during a 21-7 Eagle closing run. Mahki Cromartie drained a 3-point shot and another basket, McKoy popped in a basket and 2 free throws and Meares knocked down another 3-point shot.

Meares finished with 11 points for the Eagles. McKoy followed with 10 points. Cromartie added 7 points, and Priest tallied 6 points.

The Eagles will travel to West Columbus Wednesday night.
