BLADENBORO – Fairmont rolled to a 29-15 halftime lead en route to a 59-24 victory over West Bladen Tuesday night in the Three Rivers Conference junior varsity boys basketball opener for both schools.

Javontae Matthews bombed in a pair of 3-point shots and led the Knights with 10 points. Teammate Devin Strange nailed a 3-point shot and totaled 6 points.

Caleb Thorndyke led the Tornadoes with 11 points, and J. Poe finished with 10 points.

The Knights, now 1-2, will host Union Wednesday night.
