BLADENBORO – Kemari McNeill scored 3 points in the deciding quarter Friday to lift Midway to a 26-20 Southeastern Athletic Conference jayvee boys basketball victory over West Bladen.

West Bladen’s Noah Hall who led all scorers in the game with 11 points fired in 3 baskets in the opening period to keep the Knights even 6-6. Hall bombed in a 3-ball in the 2nd quarter, but the Knights still trailed 13-9 at halftime.

Center Alan Breakfield rallied the Knights in the 3rd quarter by dropping in a pair of baskets. Cade Allen drilled in a 3-point shot, and Hall added a basket as West pulled to within 19-18.

Cornelius Esters scored the only basket in the final period for the Knights as the Raiders held on for the win. Breakfield’s 4 points followed Hall on the West scoring list. Andre Harps led Midway with 6 points, and Travis Gist followed with 5 points.

The Knight jayvees will travel to Clinton Tuesday.
