BLADENBORO – M. Arthur pumped in 14 points Thursday to lead Red Springs to a 37-25 Southeastern Athletic Conference jayvee boys’ basketball victory over West Bladen.
Arthur keyed an early 9-2 Red Devil run with 5 points. Andre Moore scored the first West Bladen basket. Center Alan Breakfield, Noah Hall and Conner Monroe threw in baskets in the 2nd period to keep the Knights within 15-8 at halftime.
Hall and Monroe tossed in a basket each and sank 2 free throws each in the 3rd quarter, but the Red Devils maintained a 23-16 lead at the quarter break.
Breakfield powered in a pair of baskets in the final period for the Knights. Hall buried a 3-point shot, and Cade Allen cashed in 2 free throws. Hall topped the West Bladen scoring with 9 points. Breakfield and Monroe followed with 6 points each.
The Knight jayvees will travel to St. Pauls Tuesday.
