RED SPRINGS – Red Springs built a 19-8 halftime lead en route to a 38-17 Southeastern Athletic Conference jayvee boys basketball victory over East Bladen Tuesday.

M. Arthur fired in 8 of his game-high 13 points in the 1st half for the Red Devils. Teammate Keyontae Leach followed with 8 points, and Khalik Young tallied 6 points.

Sherman Long drained a 3-point shot in the 2nd quarter for the Eagles. Peyton Tatum completed an old-fashioned 3-point play, and Chace Butler threw in a basket.

Center Rodney Lacewell dropped in a basket and a free throw for East in the 2nd half. Chris Harding sank 2 free throws, and Lee Barnes and Zac Metz fired in baskets.

The Eagle jayvees, now 5-7 overall, will host St. Pauls Friday.
