TABOR CITY – Andrew Todd poured in 21 points to lead South Columbus to a 34-23 non-conference jayvee boys basketball victory over West Bladen Tuesday night in the Knights’ season opener.

Todd bombed in a trio of 3-point shots and rang up five 2-point baskets. Alan Breakfield topped the Knight scoring with 9 points, and teammate Cade Allen finished with 5 points.

Allen and Conner Monroe threw in baskets in the opening quarter to keep the Knights within 7-4. Breakfield worked the paint for a pair of baskets. Garrett Dunham nailed a 3-point shot, and Cornelius Esters pumped in a basket, but the Knights still trailed 20-13 at halftime.

Allen delivered a 3-point basket for the only Knight points in the 3rd period. Breakfield dropped in a pair of baskets and a free throw in the final quarter, and Noah Hall contributed a bucket.

The Knight jayvees will host East Columbus Tuesday.
