ELIZABETHTOWN – Jamal Brown scored 8 of his game-high 17 points for South Columbus in the final quarter as the Stallions claimed a 35-26 Three Rivers Conference jayvee boys basketball victory over East Bladen on Friday night.

Nazire Smith threw in 2 baskets and 2 free throws in the opening period, and Zamar Lewis tossed in 2 baskets and a free throw as the Eagles grabbed an 11-6 lead.

South Columbus battled back to tie the game 16-16 at halftime then pulled ahead 26-22 after 3 quarters.

Lewis topped the Eagle scoring with 10 points, and Smith followed with 8 points.

East Bladen will travel to Red Springs on Tuesday night.
