St. Pauls rode a 7-2 closing run to a 28-20 non-conference jayvee boys victory Tuesday night at East Bladen in the season-opener for both teams.

The Bulldogs led 8-5 after one quarter, 13-10 at halftime and 21-18 after three periods.

Anthony Wooten bombed in a couple of 3-point shots in the third quarter and topped the Eagle scoring with 8 points. Teammate Messiah Leach drained a first-period 3-pointer and finished with 4 points for East. Zaire Turner-Dobson added 3 points for the Eagles.
