TEACHEY – Wallace-Rose Hill defeated West Bladen 48-43 Monday night in Four County Conference jayvee boys basketball action.

West Bladen’s Tyre Boykin pumped in a pair of baskets, and Tra’shawn Ballard tossed in a basket and 2 free throws in the first quarter. Sophomore Kerron Washington added free throws in the first and second quarters.

Najee McKoy and center Jason Moore dropped in baskets in the second period for the Knights.

Boykin lit up the scoreboard with 4 third quarter baskets and 2 free throws, and McKoy added a basket.

Boykin hit 3 of 4 free throws and another basket in the fourth period and topped the Knight scoring with 17 points. Ballard threw in 2 baskets and a free throw in the final quarter and finished with 9 points.

Jaheim Lesane connected for a basket and a free throw in the fourth quarter. Washington made 2 more free throws in the period, and Jackson Norris and Shemaiah Leak hit one foul shot each in the quarter.

The Knights are now 3-5 in league play and will travel to Pender Wednesday night.
